Divali Ramkalawan
Divali Ramkalawan is the Chief Program Officer at Young Community Developers (YCD). In her executive leadership role, Divali oversees a diverse portfolio across YCD’s core areas of service: housing, education, workforce development, and special initiatives. She leads a team of seasoned directors, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals, cultivating key partnerships, and developing systems that promote long-term sustainability and impact.
Prior to this role, Divali served as YCD’s Director of Housing, where she grew the department from the ground up—scaling staff, budget, and operations—while spearheading housing development, policy, and services that advanced affordable housing initiatives across San Francisco.
Divali earned her Master’s in City and Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and holds a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA. She is committed to intentional leadership, strategic planning, and community-centered development.
Divali balances her time through her many passions: yoga, dance, travel, cooking and eating out.
