CURRICULUM

1 - Introductions

It’s time to get connected! Participate in a mixer including present and past participants.

2- Creating Your Roadmap

Together we’ll help lay the groundwork for your non-profit to flourish. We will work on defining your mission, vision, the needs you’re solving, as well as your theory of change and developing your program.

3 - Business & Relationship Management

To make significant change in the community, you will need to learn how to collaborate with it effectively. In this phase, we will go over communication strategies and relationship management, allowing you to work effectively and positively with your partners, donors, volunteers, board members and more.

4 - Funding & Fiscal Management

Now you have your team, now you’ll need the capital to keep the machine running. In addition to discussing budgeting, taxes, and compliance, we will also be teaching you how to source funding (federally, publicly, and privately) and how best to engage with these donors through interaction and marketing strategies.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

No, however, improving your organization will still need to be a priority at the time of your application.
It has historically been a 4 month process. However, we are currently negotiating whether or not to shorten or lengthen that time period. We will let everyone know one we come to final decision.
We require that participants attend 75% of the meetings scheduled. The meetings have historically been two times per month. They have been a hybrid of virtual and in person meetings.
Not regularly, however, there should be events scheduled that participants are strongly encouraged to attend for their own growth.
That depends. This program goes hand in hand with projects that are meant to improve your organization. If you are actively spending time on improving your organization, this program will help you to examine and alter effectively.
Yes, at the end of the program participants will be expected to present a slide presentation about what they learned and have since accomplished.
